I, with millions of other fans are truly shocked and saddened by the death of the legendary King of Pop, Michael Jackson, who died of cardiac arrest ~~today~~ yesterday. Although he has become a weirdo over the years, his music will still live on. I will always remember him in his song "We Are The World", a song for the people of Africa <3

TP has officially ended for us last Saturday. although i miss those kids dearly, i also miss my 'sister' Zah (i miss you dearly now as well, even though it's been a few days). it's been a worthwhile experience and there are so many things that i want to say but i think it shouldn't be said here cos it might hit a sensitive nerve on somebody. anyway only very few people know how i really feel about this whole thing, namely Zah, Rah, & of course the best supervisor anybody could have, & i always thank Allah that Zah & i had him as our supervisor, a big shout out to Dr Koay.

i met these two ladies last Friday night whom i haven't met in ages! dinner & catching-up time about our TPs :D
then met these 3 ladies today at the mall, accidentally! the story goes when Rah & i went to UBD in this morning but my supervisor was not there, so we went to the mall for lunch. just as we were gonna eat, these 3 ladies, Kaka, Nony & Hani suddenly appeared out of nowhere & Kaka being hyper as usual :D so they bought their lunch & they sat down with us & talked & talked & talked & after lunch we went to Ong Sum Ping together (coincidentally they parked right in front of Rah's car at the mall's parking lot!), after that i followed the 3 ladies back to UBD & while waiting for their supervisor to come, this photo was taken ;p

this week is my 3rd week of doing teaching practice. i'm teaching Years 1 Teratai, Mawar & Anggerik (Math & Bahasa Melayu) & Years 3 Anggerik & Mawar (Art & PE) and i have yet to master around 125 children's names!! i'm very lucky and i'm always thanking Allah that i have a very understanding supervisor, Dr Koay, who always advises me just to be patient, or else i would've exploded by now! i especially love most of my Year 1s, the little boys are especially cheeky, calling me "mummy" lol!

anyway, the kids from one of my Year 3 classes are (i'm sorry to say this), very uncontrollable, despite the many advises from the teachers as well as my supervisor, i have no idea what to do with them! i just want to scream at them all day long!! even my Year 1 kids are manageable (despite one or two students being very, very naughty as well!) also, this morning one of my Year 3 kids from the other class didn't bring his Art book and he said he lost it or something, so i asked him to buy a new one. but he said "my dad doesn't go to work anymore and my mum is just a housewife" and i felt very sorry for him. maybe they don't have much money? maybe not.

recently, i was PM-ing through facebook with Cat & i realised that he's the only one who's bothered to reply my messages & i realised how nice he is, & eventhough i haven't met him in yonks! the rest can't be bothered which leaves me frustrated all the time. even Damien always reply to most of my messages & i've only met him once! i reckon that the rest are all "high & mighty" eh, thinking that they're "all that" *rolls eyes*

Alhamdulillah, i just got back from Kuala Lumpur earlier on today AND....

...i saw Mamma Mia's broadway musical at Istana Budaya!! it was awesome!! it was worth every cent of the RM503 ticket bought! it was totally a full house so since we bought the tickets very the last minute, there were only 3 left so we bought the whole lot, 1 ticket cost RM503, & the other 2 cost RM403. so poor me had to sit alone at the seat which cost RM503 whilst my dad & brother sat at the other seats which cost RM403, but whatever! i quite enjoyed it, especially the ending! the ending was like a mini-concert because when all of the people gave the standing ovation, the cast did an encore Mamma Mia & Dancing Queen... MasyaAllah, it was fun!

(btw, i heard that the so-called Mamma Mia extravagant show thingy at the Empire Hotel last night was crap huhuhuhu... i quote from my aunt: "pikir apa, sekali liat, duuui, menari kipas! inda jua berapa!" LOL!)

on a sadder note, i'm sure you people have heard about the attacks at Gaza, where the Israelis have killed innocent Palestine people a few days ago. how cruel can the Israelis get? Subhanallah!! after that incident, there was a protest outside the US Embassy in Kuala Lumpur, i know because our apartment hotel was located near different Embassies & i was in a taxi when the protest happened, & the taxi driver had to take another longer route instead of the usual shorter route because he said there was a massive traffic jam along the US Embassy)

just came back from watching Twilight with the cousins <3 (N21, 48, Inoe, Jats, Fulioped), BJ & Iqbal. the movie was good but i guess the biggest disappointment was that Edward Cullen wasn't handsome as we have imagined! i quote from a certain cousin, "he looks more like a drug addict!" LOL! because the book portrayed him to be very handsome ok! & Carlisle Cullen is seriously way more handsome than his son :D

will be meeting the cousins again this Saturday night for a function; my aunt has bought has bought the tickets for our table i think. N21, shopping soon ah! or else i'll have to borrow my mum's baju ;p call me or something.

and so my cousin N21 told me of his death when they came over today... i used to (still do!) love Levi & still listen to his songs sometimes. he was in the Top 12 in Australian Idol 2003. he fell to his death from a Brisbane hotel balcony earlier this week.

i've met him once when my friends, Ash, Sel & Atoi & cousin, N21 & i went to Dream World, Gold Coast way back in 2004. i remembered him telling the people he was with to go ahead & he gladly posed a photo with me.

his death came to a shock to me & saddens me, as i think he is an amazing singer & a nice person.

Levi, Rest In Peace! you're be sorely missed! <3

oh i finally came around to reading Twilight after much pestering from the cousins ;p the annoying thing was, this morning, i had put the book on my table with the cover facing upwards & the title of the book & the picture of the hands holding the red apple visible to everyone & this girl who was sitting beside me during tutorial went "ooohhh is that Twilight?!" in my heart i was like, "duuuuhhh that's what it says on the cover, why do u hafta ask me that when u already know that is Twilight?" but i answered her "yes, but i haven't finished reading it yet"

then the girl continued "ooohh the girl character in the book became pregnant bla bla bla" i answered, "erm i haven't finished reading it yet, so i dunno" then the girl went on "i have ALL the 4 books & u know, one of the other characters bla bla bla bla bla" in my heart i was like "helllllllllooooooo why are you telling me this, i can read it on my own thank you very much!!" but i can't remember what i told her. but seriously, i think it's really annoying when a person just don't get it!

3rd week of uni starts tomorrow, and yet, the uni mood for this semester has not kicked in yet. nyeh. uni's no fun anymore. the first thing that i looked for when we were given the course overview was, the date of the semester break ;p i've got my Saturdays off, so i've got the whole weekend off, YEY!! i could watch Seniman Bujang Lapok over & over again! i reckon it's my favourite P.Ramlee movie of all times! "...lubang hidungmu menjadi pujaan hati ku...." hahaha pacah eh! on our last day in Singapore, on the way to Changi Airport, our taxi driver was an old malay Pakcik, & we started to chit-chat about P.Ramlee ;p which was awesome haha.

just got back from Singapore some time ago, i was there for 3 days 2 nights ;p i haven't been there in 7 years! anyways, i thought Singapore was only so-so. i'd rather go to KL though. i realised Singapore is 99% clean! we met family friends, Kak Lin & her mum, Auntie Yatie, whom i haven't seen in around 10 years! & i really appreciate my friends, Shiou Thin, Selvi & Shiou Thin's sis for bringing us to Sentosa Island. im sorry i didn't get to meet Corinna though, maybe another time, ya? :)

the besties (Izda, Rawish, Misha & Sibgha) & i went to watch this children's ballet performance, presented by the Panaga Dance Centre, in an act called "The Four Seasons" earlier this evening. for me, it was just an ok performance as i don't really get half of the story (shows that i need to appreciate more ballet ;p) BUT i simply LOVE the colourful costumes! & the children were adorable as well! :D

the highlight of the trip, P.Ramlee the Musical @ Istana Budaya. went last Saturday night, 31st of May 2008 & the theatre was, WOW! no words can describe how amazing it was! i give it 10 stars :p it was worth every penny of the RM153 & RM203 tickets that we bought & it was worth going back & forth to Lot 10 to get the tickets. the 1st time i went to Lot 10 to get the tickets, the person was not there, so i went back to the hotel. the 2nd time i went to Lot 10, the computer system was down. the 3rd time i went to Lot 10, baru tia!! but it was so worth it lah!! kalau orang atu inda suka P.Ramlee, inda tah ku tau lagi tu! ;p we met the "notorious" Adlin Aman Ramli before the musical started as well :pview of KLCC, outside the Istana Budaya

a response to Senor Pablo's comment to the Youth Congress, from what i have heard, the Brunei Goverment is planning to change the definition of youth to 15-25 years old, if i'm not mistaken, but i'm not sure how far is the progress to that :) i mean, i know some people above 40 years old can think as a youth (like yourself Senor, or are you even 40 yet? ;p), but majority nya, jangan tah harap! huhuhu. and Youth as as a leader did come up in my group (as my group's topic was Belia & Kepimpinan), where one of the participants suggested a Youth Worker should be done as a career, not just a part-time job, so we'll see how that goes ;)

BruneiForever?" so embarassing! ;p oh and one of them is into AF6!! hahaha tau lagi tu eh nama2 the students!! & he made a point of going home early cos he didn't wanna miss the diary AF ;D anyways, Babyamy is one of the very, very few friends that i have whom i can "stand" not seeing for ages, but yet, still remain very close. where ever it is, whether if we talk online, or face-to-face, we can talk about anything. when i say ANYTHING, i mean exactly just that! heart-to-heart kali ah ;p and dear, just stick to speaking English! huhuhuhu :D

Ya Allah!! may their souls rest in peace. after lunch, we went to KB town to look at the burnt house, but unfortunately, i didn't manage to take any pictures.

happy 23rd birthday to one of my dearest friends, CT, with all my love xx

it's been a good two weeks that i haven't blogged. simply because there's nothing to blog about. since last month, my life's sort of revolved around uni, which i find is tiring. most of my assignments are group presentations, which i don't really like, particularly if it involves like, more than 10 people. it's stressful, i'm telling you!

oh, the Jawi teacher is probably tired of seeing Khadizah's face & my face because ada-ada saja kami kan cakap arah ia hehe. today was the 3rd or 4th time we came knocking on his office door to tell him something. "oh cikgu, a girl wanted to join our group." then a week later, "oh cikgu, that girl decided to ditch us & join another group!" cikgu was like "THAT girl?!" ;p as if THAT girl nada nama. then today, "oh cikgu...." before i finished my sentence, he was like laughing his head off (with his Malaysian accent because he is Malaysian duh!), "kenapa? ada orang nak join your group lagi ke?" eseh, tau ia ;p suka ku cikgu Jawi ani eh! huhuhuhuhu.

tsk tsk tsk... what has she gotten herself into... Britney's gone cuckoo whacko mad, i reckon! gila, mad, psycho! she was admitted into the hospital AGAIN recently. i pity her kids actually. they look like lovely kids & i reckon they don't deserve a mother like her. not until she looks herself in the mirror. oh well.

i spent the whole morning yesterday with Barizah. we went to JIS to meet the Primary Head Teacher & were granted permission to observe how English is taught in Primary school. YEY! Barizah kept saying "oh i love this school! i wish UBD is like this!" which i thought is really cute ;p Strawberry, i forgot to tell them about you! :s sorry!!!

i finally managed to contact Abang Kamarul (winking at Babyamy.) where else, but at facebook jua kan hehe. cos i don't have his number or anything, so i'm pretty content with facebook hehe. bersyukur tah ku sudah tu! at least now, i hope that is, i can contact him directly if there's anything, without going through this certain person ;p

it was a great honour to have Yang Berbahagia Dato' Harun Din to the house last night (sorry no pics on this). earlier tonight at a family friend's house, he gave a "ceramah" on the greatest person on Earth, our Prophet Mohammad (Peace be upon Him), on his journey from the Holy City of Mekah to the Holy City of Medinah. Dato' Harun Din also talks about the Hijrah from this world to the world of hereafter. are we truly ready for it? i pray that we are. Amin. my friend from Uni, Khadizah was there too ;)

Pablo has hightlighted this problem about one of his sons and i can see his point there. i understand if the kid is a slow-learner student or maybe has fails more than passes in his subjects, but if the kid is a fairly good student, than what's the point of giving the exams? especially to a kid who just "graduated" from kindergarden & going into Primary 1 (like in Pablo's son's case?) i mean, these kids are practically babies! but maybe because Brunei's education system is so.... exam based. sikit-sikit, exam, sikit-sikit exam. sana-sini, exam pun! orang kraja kan naik pangkat pun ada exam! cheh! haha atu emo. but it's true right. i mean come on, school is supposed to be fun, fun & fun!! maybe this is a wakeup call for the ministry people. they should take UK or American schools for an example. orrrrrrr, paling-paling dakat pun, liat tah cemana Jerudong International School (JIS ani yang arah Tungku Link, yang dekat DST, yang kalau dari highway, ia ke kiri, yang UBD ke kanan atu) & International School Brunei (ISB ani yang di Berakas, yang arah Jln Dato Ahmad) educational system, especially at Primary level.

i think i'd better stop writing my mind out. kana bomb ku karang. huhuhu.

there was a firework display, organised by the British Officers Mess, Brunei, just across the street from our house. well done guys, for the wonderful display! AND we got to watch it for free :p pictures below taken just a few minutes ago, from my room & from my frontyard. Happy New Year everyone!

just came back from BSB, an uncle & aunt, with their respective families, came back from the greatest journey on Earth (quoted from N21 ;)) today. Another aunt & her husband came back on the 1st flight a few days ago. Alhamdulillah. it was my cousin-in-law's birthday today also, so happy birthday Kaka Rima!
